The King's Mill was built on the banks of the Humber River in 1793, to process lumber for the proposed town of York. Hence, the Mill became Toronto's first industrial building.

After being rebuilt and ravaged by fire the Mill "Ruins" were again transformed in October 2001. A Boutique Inn now stands proudly within its walls.
